Most likely. Someone did. It was hard to know who was speaking when I was at the back of the bus, and even when I did know, I sometimes forget. Maybe it was Galaxstar. This was of course with reference to the ferry location art, and someone insisting that we were parked in Killer whale on the way out, not decapitation of actual sea otters. Change my misattributions to blame whomever you like, or just change them to "someone."  Also feel free to take personal credit for anything attributed as "someone" or "we." -Robyn 20:36, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I vote for the picture of the cake, or of the one of all of us around the cake with hats for the page.  I don't have any of the missing photos on my camera, but think that the current ones turned out pretty well!

What a great report! I wonder if I should bother to check the site's history in order to reverse-engineer the whole thing and find out how so many people put together this nice text... Anyhow, congratulations on such a brilliant fail in terms of reaching the coordinates. Musta been fun!--Zb 21:54, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

:I'll reveal the technique, just because it's funny. On the way back in the van someone said, "Robyn should write this up, she's good at write ups."  They all had school in the morning and I didn't, so I said, "Sure, I like doing write ups," and I do, so I did. Others augmented it with more photographs, corrections, and the things I foolishly left out. So apparently the secret to a good expedition report is: make Robyn do it. Probably in general having one person write it up and others add in things that person has forgotten is a good technique. I'd also argue for everyone putting their recollections in point form and then having the scribe tie it all together. - Robyn

::::Amazingly, Rhonda writes almost exactly like me. I'll bet you can't tell who wrote which parts of the Anvil Island expedition without reading the history. -Robyn 05:04, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

You do realize the nearest land is a military airport, right? We'll be right under the approach path in the kayaks.

Will ya' look at that! This just keeps getting better and better! Thepiguy 03:15, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Meeting place and time

The adventure starts here:

0600 in the east parking lot at the corner of Agronomy Rd and Health sciences Mall at UBC.

If you're not sure which parking lot, just stand at the corner and look for the geohashingmobile!

Once we've all rendezvoused we can pack up and be on the road by 0630.

Thepiguy 03:36, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

A minor note, we only rented one double kayak (it's a little expensive) and because it's Sunday we have to return it by 1700. There may not be a lot of kayak time to go around but I don't think it's safe enough to take out any other type of vessel. Thepiguy 05:46, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

Scratch that; renting a second kayak. Kayaks for all! Thepiguy 22:01, 28 March 2009 (UTC)

I agree. It's safer with two boats, anyway. Do I need to have a student card to park there, or just a credit card? -Robyn 02:45, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

Just credit card, and if I remember correctly the lot should be pretty cheap for the whole day. Arbron 5:26, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

I'll reveal the technique, just because it's funny. - Robyn
