I only found out about geohashing a couple of weeks ago - sometime during May 2010.

Expeditions

1. My first ever expedition was for a Saturday meetup, on 2010-06-05. I ended up being the only one. The geohash was on a field belonging to the former concentration camp Neuengamme.
2. My second expedition was to Kiel-Meimersdorf, on 2010-07-04. I wanted to drag along my family but they insisted on staying in the car rather than joining me on the (very short and pleasant) walk across the field to the hashpoint.
3. My third expedition was to a small road in Ellerau, on 2010-11-19. I drove past the hashpoint in order to get the speed racer achievement (and it was dark anyway). I actually passed 8.5 m north of the hashpoint since it wasn't quite on the road.
4. My fourth expedition was... to my daughter's school! This was on 2011-02-10. I just had to go about 100 m out of my way, to the corner of a building at the edge of the campus.

Achievements

Pne earned the Public transport geohash achievement by reaching the (53, 10) geohash on 2010-06-05 via bus 327.

Pne earned the xkcd Nullaturion achievement by attending 1 Saturday meetup.

Pne earned the Formal attire achievement by looking good at the (54, 10) geohash on 2010-07-04.

Pne achieved level 2 of the Minesweeper Geohash achievement by visiting coordinates in Hamburg (East), Germany and 2 of the surrounding graticules.

Pne earned the Speed racer achievement by passing through the (53, 9) geohash on 2010-11-19 at (just over) 50 km/h.

Pne has visited an Easy Geohash by reaching the (53, 9) geohash on 2011-02-10 without really trying.

Pne earned the Walk geohash Achievement by reaching the (53, 9) geohash on 2011-02-10 on foot.

Pne earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging his daughter Amy to the (53, 9) geohash on 2011-02-10.
