In Savernake Forest about 3.5km east of Marlborough, Wiltshire, UK.

Expedition
This was a long expedition at 662km! And the only point was to complete square 9 of a minesweeper. A brief chat on Foonetic led to the advice "Go for it" and so I did. This may have been a mistake as extreme rain fall and a blocked drain caused my house to flood about 15 minutes after setting out. Of course I had no knowledge of this until three or four hours later. I turned on the droid and got the "house flooded" text message. Should I have aborted and rushed home? But the hashpoint was now only 15 or 30 minutes away. What would you have done? Of course I completed the expedition by locating the hashpoint on the second forest path I tried.
The Savernake Estate is private but the woodlands are open for walkers and cars can drive through apart from one day each year when for legal reasons, the roads and paths are all closed. There are many mature trees and I found wild orchids. Savernake Estate is a beautiful spot and well worth a longer visit.
