Anyways, it was a nice and sunny day, so it was really beautiful to go outside for a little walk. A nice german guy picked me up while i was walking on the road on the border towards the hash and dropped me off near the hash. Thank you, friendly stranger! The hash was in a snow covered field, and easy to find. I built a little snowman there with a nice little hat (which was a free gift which came with the fruit juice i bought this morning. ehm...). The temperature at the hash point was almost exactly 0°C (-1°C when the thermometer was in the shadow behind the snowman). Is this a frozen geohash? Let me know what you think on the discussion site!

Expedition

Okay, thats one for the Achievements. :) And to keep the guys from München and Melbourne distant in the race for the most active graticule of the month. ;) Oh, and to overtake Boston in the total hash list.

The hash lies only around 300 meters from the border between Germany and Switzerland. The border in this area around Schaffhausen makes weird twists and turns, so its most likely that you cross the border multiple times by accident.

I went to the Trasadingen train station, which is the last station on Swiss ground before the trains cross into Germany. Funny thing is that all the trains are operated by Deutsche Bahn, the German national railway company, and the stations are also German ones, although they lie in Switzerland. The track is not electrified and the trains run on diesel engines, something you don't see in Switzerland anymore.

On the way back i saw a herd of deer fleeing from me.
