Expedition

This one was so far the closest one to my home, only a 20 minutes ride. And it was just across from the supermarket where I use to shop (we stopped there and took a Photo in expedition 2021-11-20_40_-3 before we went for the geohash). So I pulled forward the shopping tour planned for the next day (Saturday) and went already on Friday late afternoon.

It had been raining intermittently that day and more rain was foreseen for the evening. Therefore, I did not take the old Goldwing this time, but something offering a little rain protection, see photo. I call here die Krähe (German for "the crow").

I first completed the shopping and then went for the geohash. The lot was easily accessible. I had to make my way through hip high thorny thistles, but they could easily be stomped down. So, reached it.

The later Expedition 2021-07-31_39_-3 also ended up in a field of dried up thistles, while I had found some still being green in the earlier expedition 2021-06-06_40_-4.

In the end, I did not encounter a single drop of rain on the whole trip. I have the feeling that die Krähe has the same rain averting effect as an umbrella.
