Globalhash on Thu 22 Feb 2024: |
Location
At Fort Ord, Monterey, California, United States, just off Barloy Canyon Road.

Plans
This is my first geohash, because I wanted to start geohashing, and what better opportunity than the globalhash falling within two hours of my house in San Jose?
Expedition
The drive was fairly uneventful, until we realized the most convenient parking was at a nearby racetrack. When we paid and parked, however, we realized that we should have checked the bike tires. We decided to hike to the globalhash, which was a six mile round trip. We only had one phone, so we decided we would take a screenshot of the marker at the hash. Unfortunately, our cell service failed before we could take the screenshot, and having forgot to write down the coordinates, we took a screenshot anyway, and a picture at the hash, which I will back up with a Google Maps satellite image. I hope this is enough evidence. It was wet nearby. We heard ribbiting. It was surprisingly nice. Sorry for my bad page editing skills.
