Expedition

We were on the East Coast for a week, nominally to catch a Mountain Goats show in Charlottesville but really, if we're to be honest about it, for some friend-visiting. We're big softies like that.

It's a good thing that this was not a geohashing-focused journey, because the hashpoints were pretty lousy for the whole week. But on the way back to the airport from Charlottesville, we finally got this easy if unremarkable sidewalk location in Fairfax County. We got there via a circuitous route that picked off some of the little "independent cities" that the serious county collector has to worry about in the Virginia Commonwealth. For the trip as a whole, Michael visited 10 new counties while Mrs, who has spent more time on the East Coast, only nabbed six.
