Plans

Elbie

Elbie can't leave campus until 18:00. How about we meet at the 99 stop at the Village at 18:15? - Elbie 16:32, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Also: my camera isn't working. Henry, are you bringing yours? - Elbie 16:34, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Update: I probably won't go. Need to pack for my flight to Alberta tomorrow. :( - Elbie 18:36, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

DaleF and HollyB

We're going to try to make it down there for sometime around 6:30. Problem is, neither of us have a GPS, so we'll be winging finding the location. Anyone going around then? DaleF 18:34, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Xore

I'll try to get there around 5:45-6:00pm, will stick around if others are coming shortly afterwards --Xore 19:43, 31 July 2009 (UTC)

Expedition

plypkie took the skytrain for 5 mins, walked another 5 or 10 mins, and found the empty lot. Weeds everywhere, lots of Scotch Broom trying to take over, along with piles of dirt and stones, and lots of broken glass. Yes, plypkie knew right away that this would be a wonderful place for the barefoot people. After wandering around the lot and deciding that he had probably hit the spot, plypkie sat down to read a book and await the arrival of others.

xore and Rhonda arrived 20mins later, and the hash point was precisely found with xore's GPS. pictures were taken, the sidewalk was chalked, and there was much rejoicing. Plypkie then ran off to catch a skytrain to get to work by 7pm. Unfortunately he could not wait around for the rest of the hashers to arrive. Rhonda and xore waited around for another 20 minutes, then left when 6:45 had come around without any sign of more geohashers. There was dinner to be had, and geohashing is hungry work.

DaleF and HollyB arrived around 6:55, apparently just missing everybody. We didn't have a GPS, so we wandered around the lot and took pictures of ourselves at the chalk mark to prove that we were, in fact, in the right area.
