Just like last time, I took a drive up at lunch break, crossing the Columbia River into Washington. After getting to the shopping center, to make it more of an "event," I bought some grapefruit juice for Mrs.5000, and then (after swerving a bit out of my lane on the way out, in order to pass over the hashpoint a second time) I stopped at a gas station down the street. That gave me two thrills that we don't get in Oregon: I paid sales tax, and I pumped my own gasoline.
