I live in Virginia Beach, Va; but the graticule for that is mostly Atlantic Ocean and I don't have access to a boat. I get the feeling I'm going to be doing most of my hashing in the Norfolk, VA graticule.
I love XKCD and read the one about geohashing a while back, but I only just found out how much it had caught on. I'm a geocacher and was looking for something else to invest my time in, so here we go.
How I spend my time
- wife and 2 kids (StrongAbby 6, Stuntman 2)
- church
- geocaching (under Teamday)
- camping
- reading
- I'm working on reading Time's 100 greatest novels
Goals to work Towards
- I'm thinking about a hashcot. Would have to be something interesting...
- Getting a hash in the Virginia Beach graticule. Level of difficulty: not owning a boat
- Earn various Achievements
- Earn various Gratuitous Ribbons
Expeditions
- 2010-01-21 36 -76 - Successfully reached the hash
- 2010-01-23 36 -76 - FAIL (never attempted)
- 2010-02-08 36 -76 - Successfully reached the hash
