- 2014-03-02, Los Angeles graticule: Desert land in the alluvial plains west of Rosamond.
- 2014-02-24, Los Angeles graticule: On Woodward Avenue in Sunland/Tujunga. With Boppy5.
- 2014-02-15, Los Angeles graticule: Lafayette Street, near Valley Boulevard, in San Gabriel.

2013
- 2013-12-31, Los Angeles graticule: In the driveway of a duplex residence in Rosemead.
- 2013-12-25, Ridgecrest graticule: No luck. Darkness descended too quickly to make desert hiking feel safe.
- 2013-12-25, Tehachapi graticule: Second success of the day! Boppy5 and I made it to the desert west of California City for a picnic with dogs.
- 2013-12-25, Bakersfield graticule: Good start to the day. Boppy5 and I visited a field east of Maricopa (and just north of S.R. 166) with three whippets and a vizsla.
- 2013-12-21, Long Beach graticule: My second expedition ... and my first outside of my home graticule. A hillside on the Palos Verdes peninsula between a housing tract and a Southern California Edison electrical substation.
- 2013-12-18, Los Angeles graticule: My first expedition! Rancho Drive, just north of the Bette Davis Picnic Area in Griffith Park. I dragged along Boppy5 to make it a "first" for one other too..
