From Essen, I took the train to Wilhelmshaven and walked the rest of the distance. The coordinates were on a meadow, next to a big frozen puddle. After recording proof, I walked back to the station and took the train back to Essen.

I had been Geohashing in Wilhelmshaven before on the way to 2015-10-08 53 8, but that time the coordinates were just putside of the city. Today's coordinates on the other hand were the first ever to be reached in Wilhelmshaven. This completes my subdivision geohash for districts of Lower Saxony. When I started in 2015, there still were 46 districts and equivalents, but in 2016 the Osterode am Harz district merged into the Göttingen district. Now, there are 36 Landkreise, 8 independent cities and the Hannover Region, so in total 45 districts and equivalents.
