Plans
Macronencer, being utterly mad, is planning a 300-mile round trip to this hash point because the alternative is to stay at home and tidy up his office. The Power of Procrastination strikes again!
Expedition
Co-ordinates reached. Report some time on Saturday morning. I'm too tired and I need to sleep!

The hash location caught my eye immediately.
From orbit, you can see what sort of terrain it is.
This shows that it seems to be right on the tarmac path.
This would be a long trip. I deployed the heavy artillery for in-car entertainment: Jonathan Cecil reading Wodehouse.
That's a long radius... said the bee to the crow.
The place was being renovated.
These are similar to the one in Queen Elizabeth Country Park the other day. Number Plate Recognition.
Good job I didn't need a bike!
Yeah, this place is mostly about cycling. Which is great!
Of course, if you're a pedestrian, you're made to walk on the muddy puddles track. It's a sort of class system.
They even have a fast lane for really fit people.
Made it! The hash point was definitely somewhere on the tarmac, but the GPS wouldn't settle on less than 5m.
I finally remember to do a stupid grin.
This is where the point actually lay.
I think these are beech trees. So perhaps "Betteshanger" really is pronounced like "Beech hanger"...
I really think it must be.
I want to be up there. Why should cyclists have all the fun?
That's better! Wow, this place really reminds me of a race track.
There might be alligators. For once, this isn't between me and the hash.
It's called a Red Route because of all the blood, of course.
That is this thing? Looks like an inflatable roof!
Construction work is ongoing. It will probably be finished by this summer. Shame it wasn't open.
The ticket machines were offline, but I used my nerdy I.T. skillz to restore them to functionality (I tapped the screen a few times).
This mural is in the Old Post Office coffee house; it's entirely hand-painted.
I spotted this little character and was told it was the artist's "signature"!
