Just two days after the last one, this one was pretty reachable again. I planned to make a "quick trip" by bike, maybe do some grocery shopping on the way back and be home again just in time for the next thing. Like that's ever gonna happen...

Expedition

It was a hot, sunny day, maybe even a bit too warm for such a long bike ride, but oh well. I'd just have to ride fast enough for the fair wind to keep me cool, I guess...

I started my ride a bit later than planned and as such had to rush even more, so I was pretty exhausted when I arrived near the hash – but the real challenge was still before me: Making the last few meters to the hash... Because, as it turned out, there was a high wire fence between me and the hash position. I considered just doing the hash by proxy, having my drone with me as usual, but decided to at least try looking for a way to reach the hash in person.

After a short search I found a part of the fence that was near a tree with some lower branches I could use to help me climb over it.
Behind the fence, the grass was really high and there were lots of spider webs around. I tried treading as lightly as possible to not damage anything and teetered around until I found the hash location, took a few photos with my phone and got my drone ready. Looking at the clock I was already pretty late – I had already taken too much time, so I might as well take a few more drone photos and even make a video as well.

My visit also made a lot of creatures very happy – namely the literal hundreds of mosquitos that stung me that day. Those stings were with me for the next few weeks...

After I was done, I teetered back to my bike. Looking at Maps and the clock I made the decision to not even try getting back in time and make the shopping detour instead – luckily I (almost) always have my backpack with me. I stopped by an Aldi I came across on the way back, but it didn't have everything I wanted, so I got the rest at Marktkauf (#NotSponsored).

Finally, I arrived home totally exhausted and at a time where the thing I wanted to go to had already ended. I was really glad we have a shower that evening...
