Expedition

Neil went by car from Beccles to South Elmham. The air temperature was 1C. The new moon had already set. The weather was odd. There were stars in the sky and Orion was clearly visible. There was wind blown snow in the air and the roads were alternately wet and then icy. The hashpoint was 40 metres from a public footpath. On the walk logged at Wikiloc, the weather deteriorated into a minor blizzard. The route passed the entrance to the restaurant and bar. It would have been nice to warm up and sample a beer from the microbrewery but as Neil approached, the "Closed" sign was posted in the doorway and the lights went out. The place was deserted apart from the one thirsty crazed and snow covered geohasher.

Neil failed to claim a Frozen Geohash because the air temperature was +1C.

Neil failed to get the Pub Geohash award becuase the pub closed seconds before his arrival.

In spite of these set-backs, it was a pleasing excursion and there was another good pub on the way home.
