UPDATE: The geoSquishy system has been changed to remove all vendor specific requirements in order to better reflect the intended spirit of geoSquishies. Please note that ANY kind of squishy has the potential to be a geoSquishy.
GeoSquishies are the perfect complement to any geohashing adventure. Whenever the geohash location falls within 5km of a squishy vendor simply stop by and pick up an ice cold frozen carbonated beverage (affectionately know as a squishy by the geoSquishy team) to enjoy when you finally reach your destination.

Achievements
As with other geohashing activities, enjoying a geoSquishy will earn you achievements. GeoSquishy achievements are based on a point system in which each squishy run is ranked from 1 to 7 stars. Stars are accumulated with each squishy run. Some achievents can also be earned for specific scenarios, such as your first geoSquishy. The full list of geoSquishy achievements is given below (this list may be updated with time). As with other geohashing achievements, proof of location, time & date and squishy must be supplied.
Banners are available for these achievements.
Point System
The geoSquishy point system is based on distance of the vendor from the geohash site as well as bonus points for special circumstances. To qualify as a geoSquisy the vendor must be within 5km from the gehash site, and the geohash site must also be reached. Up to five points may be earned from distance alone, ranging from 5 points for a squishy run within 1km from the geohash location to 1 point for a squishy run within a 5km radius. The points assigned to each distance range are summarised below.
- Up to 1km - 5 points
- 1km to 2km - 4 points
- 2km to 3km - 3 points
- 3km to 4km - 2 points
- 4km to 5km - 1 point
Additional points may be earned (up to a maximum of 7 points total) for geoSquishy runs under special circumstances. Each condition which is met earns one point, and also earns individual achievements. Possible special circumstances are listed below and reflect ideal squishying conditions: drinking a squishy in the late night rain, illuminated by a rolling advertisment sign.

- Making a squishy run between 10pm and midnight
- Making a squishy run to a vendor with a rolling advertisment sign
Squishy Vendors
The following list includes a few of the possible squishy vendors (Please update this list with your local vendors).
- 7-Eleven (Worldwide): Home of the Slurpee branded squishy. Open 24-hours for those late night squishies.
- Cumberland Farms
- Night Owl (Australia?): Open 24-hours for those late night squishies.
- Almost any gas station convenience store provides squishies (whether or not they're open 24-hours is another matter).
- McDonalds in New Zealand is currently offering a Frozen Coke for about 3-4 dollars, depending on the size. No information is currently available on how long this Squishy-like beverage will be available.
- In Australia McDonalds and Hungry Jacks both offer Frozen Coke on a permanent basis.
- Birch Carrol and Coyle Cinemas, Australia
- One of the independent greasy food joints at South Bank, Brisbane, Australia
- Sonic Drive-In: Home of their famous slushies.
- KFC Australia offers Krushers, which come in a dairy and an ice form. The ice Krushers are very much squishy, although they are not available in all regions yet. Nationwide rollout is coming.
- In Germany, Squishies in the form of smoothies can be bought at most supermarkets. Squishies in the form of slushies would be available at several fastfood places.
- Dunkin Donuts offers a Coolata drink, but it is not carbonated.
- Mac's is a common Canadian convenience store, offering carbonated Frosters, nigh-on identical to the slurpees of 7-Eleven. Open 24 hours, so useful for the Midnight Geohash achievement.
