Hello Benjw. I created a bare-bones expedition page for your 2015-02-10 52 0 expedition because it would be fun to get Norwich and Cambridge into first and second place for monthly activity for February - Graticule Statistics. --Sourcerer (talk) 17:38, 15 February 2015 (EST)

Hi Neil. Sorry, I'll get around to writing it up properly some time this week! There are a few older ones I still need to write up, too. Thanks for the reminder! — Benjw  {talk} 00:47, 16 February 2015 (EST)
Hello Ben. I have made a few more skeleton reports - as above. With the 10000th expedition coming up, it would be good to have a more accurate count. I think Cambridge is all correct now.

Please vote

Could you please update your vote on Category_talk:Not reached - Did not attempt? I rearranged the page a bit. If we get a clear vote we could go ahead on the changes. - Danatar (talk) 14:10, 29 June 2015 (EDT)

Thanks for the prompt! Done. — Benjw  {talk} 00:32, 30 June 2015 (EDT)

Hi Ben, got your message! At the moment it's a bit up in the air whether I'll be able to go to tomorrow's hash or not; I should know later tonight. If I am, it'll be for 4pm.

On a related note, I see that Sourcerer is quite active in the next graticule north, and that you've met him at least once... do you know if he's likely to be interested in straying down this far south? Huinesoron (talk) 12:42, 21 August 2015 (EDT)

Well, you've probably seen by now that Sourcerer is keen for meetups but already has other plans for tomorrow. He does often do multi-graticule trips so I'm sure if you invite him in the future he will certainly consider a visit. Anyway, let me know when you've decided whether you'll attend -- I'm not worried either way but as it's a long way (for both of us) I won't go if you don't, so please be reasonably certain you'll go if you say you will.  :-) Thanks. Looking forward to it, anyway (assuming it happens!). I might well go to 52,0 as well afterwards. — Benjw  {talk} 13:47, 21 August 2015 (EDT)
At this point, I can say that barring unexpected events, I will be at the hash at (or slightly after, if I get lost) 4pm tomorrow. See you there! Huinesoron (talk) 17:24, 21 August 2015 (EDT)
Great! I shall say the same. I'll pm you with my mobile number in case it's needed; otherwise, see you there! — Benjw  {talk} 17:34, 21 August 2015 (EDT)
Received! Will be leaving in less than an hour. Huinesoron (talk) 09:28, 22 August 2015 (EDT)

And Norwich and Cambridge are neck and neck. Which one will be the most active graticule for August. Or will Mannheim pip them at the post. </horse race commentary mode> --Sourcerer (talk) 20:42, 21 August 2015 (EDT)

I suspect it will be Norwich. This weekend is a very unusually active one for me; you're usually more keen to travel. That said, Cambridge has been the most active graticule before now...  :-) — Benjw  {talk} 00:50, 22 August 2015 (EDT)
Both as it happens. Cambridge gets the ribbon for "coordinates reached" and Norwich gets one for "expeditions". Of course there's the proviso about late expedition reports but I think it's in the bag. And it's the third month this year with our graticules in the top two. --Sourcerer (talk) 10:14, 31 August 2015 (EDT)
Splendid! Mostly down to you, of course, so well done for your sterling efforts once again this month.  :-) We'll see what happens in September, but it's a bad start from me, I'm afraid -- we're away this week. — Benjw  {talk} 11:05, 31 August 2015 (EDT)
You and Tongs made the difference though. Without your expeditions you'd not even be placed in the Most active graticules top three.

Hi there. It's forty miles away from Cambridge, but I wanted to let you know that we're going to be at Sunday's hashpoint. Tongs (talk) 14:33, 28 August 2015 (EDT)

Thank you -- and I would have loved to have joined you, but I'm afraid I am not going to be able to.  :-( I hope we can find a mutually agreeable hashpoint sometime soon! Good luck with the expedition. — Benjw  {talk} 04:45, 30 August 2015 (EDT)
Never mind! It is forecast to absolutely tip it down anyway! Some other time. Tongs (talk) 04:58, 30 August 2015 (EDT)
PS. Do you have any plans for your big hash #100? Tongs (talk) 16:09, 30 August 2015 (EDT)
Nope. Just whenever it happens. (It's unlikely to be this week as we're on holiday for our wedding anniversary.) If my first 99 expeditions are anything to go by, it's likely to be in a field, reasonably near Cambridge, and on a weekday afternoon.  :-) Well done for making it to today's hash, by the way! — Benjw  {talk} 16:12, 30 August 2015 (EDT)
Thanks, and happy anniversary. We had a lot of fun, but it was quite a way to go. The hall was really nice. Photos soon! Tongs (talk) 16:17, 30 August 2015 (EDT)

Geohashing Day Invitation

All geohashers are cordially invited to the 10th anniversary 2018 geohashing day meetup in the Cambridge UK graticule.

Cyprus

Thanks for mending my Cyprus expedition. My cold and dehydration had really got to me. I'm OK now (next day) but still not 100% --Sourcerer (talk) 07:42, 9 January 2018 (UTC)

Glad you're feeling a bit better today. I hope you fully recover quickly, and have enough holiday left to enjoy after you do! A huge well done for getting as far as you did yesterday, though. I should be going for one near Newmarket later today (assuming a delivery I'm waiting in for turns up), but it's nowhere near as interesting. Enjoy your holiday and may the Algorithm be good to you! — Benjw  {talk} 08:05, 9 January 2018 (UTC)
