Location

This geohash location was on the corner of Mullens and Parsons St in the inner-west suburb of Rozelle in Sydney. The area is surrounded with industrial buildings, and is a pretty good location for a geohash.

Report coming soon.

Visit Two (2.30pm - Kate & Danny)
My first geohashing meetup - I (Danny) caught up with Kate, who I'd never met but known about for many years from the Sydney Uni Bushwalking Club mailing list.

Visit Three (4.00pm - Gormster & Millionmice)
Brought and played Hungry Hungry Hippos. Left board and balls by the xkcd mark created by Kate & Danny in the spirit of social weirdness.

Visit Four (10.30pm - Kate, CJ & Claire)
I (CJ) hadn't had a chance to check the location of this geohash until mid-afternoon. To my surprise we finally had a location that was within suburban Sydney, and was easily accessible! I had to go out with some friends to North Sydney in the evening, and so had planned to stop off on the way there at about 6.00pm. Due to the wet weather and some accidents on the freeway however, I got home much later than expected, and didn't have time to go to the hashpoint before going out for dinner.

As my wife and I were leaving North Sydney, I realised that it was just before 10.30pm, and I had noticed that Kate had indicated on the wiki she would be at the location (for the third time!) at around this time. Having met at various hashpoints before I was able to message her to let her know that we were coming. She suggested we stop at the service station one block away for squishies. What a good idea (and exactly what I needed)!

We got the squishies and then met at the street corner on which the hashpoint lay. I soon discovered the chalk marks from earlier geohashers who had visited. Required photos were taken, and we stood around drinking our squishies and talking about Kate's recent European adventures. Another successful geohash!
