I parked at the Marriott Hotel because my preferred place was on the wrong side of a security barrier. Public footpaths ran through the site so I was OK on foot. To reach the A14/A141 roundabout, I used an access road restricted to emergency vehicles only. There was a vehicle barrier but there was plenty of space for pedestrians to get through.
During the day, this roundabout would have been insanely dangerous. Half an hour before midnight, the traffic was fairly light and the junction was controlled by traffic lights allowing safe road crossing. If you wanted to walk from the hotel to Huntingdon, this would be a logical if dangerous route. However the hashpoint was inside the circle of the roundabout. I was a bit nervous about inquisitive police wondering why I was positioned where no sane person would ever go. Luckily the hashpoint was hidden behind a hawthorn tree so I could take my time getting the evidence photo and making the "Arrived" upload. Then I made my retreat without attracting undue attention. This took slightly longer than planned so my next three hashpoints were a little behind schedule.
