Interesting. You might need to tie your GPSr to a long pole to get it over the fence gaining a MacGyver achievement. Good luck! --Sourcerer (talk) 13:46, 25 November 2015 (EST)

You're right, there seems to be a small fence around it. I still will go, this is way too easy for an expedition. Maybe I earn the Geohash by proxy achievement, I think this one is more suitable as McGyver (which would require going all the way with your self-built device). --Klaus (talk) 04:48, 26 November 2015 (EST)
My mistake - you are right. --Sourcerer (talk) 05:52, 26 November 2015 (EST)

With 1 metre on the GPSr, surely this is "coordinates reached". --Sourcerer (talk) 16:26, 26 November 2015 (EST)

I have no problem with the others counting it as reached, but I was only 5 metres close to it, didn't went down the trench to get close to the fence. So I added both categories, hope thats okay. The hash was definitely in the fenced area, but you could have reached it with your arm as Ekorren did! --Klaus (talk) 09:54, 28 November 2015 (EST)
I think in the past, we (the wiki users collectively) had come to the decision that a hashpoint is either reached or not reached, but not both. If any geohasher makes it to the coordinates, then it's reached. If nobody does, then it's not reached. Not sure I can quote chapter and verse on that decision, though, but I remember it was some years ago. I'm surprised it's not explicitly mentioned in the category descriptions, actually. — Benjw  {talk} 14:46, 29 November 2015 (EST)
