This point was just too convenient. As an exception to the normal remote-working conditions we find ourselves in, I was actually already going to CERN today, and it is 1.0km from my desk (0.7km from the CERN reception building). An easy walk, a nice excuse to enjoy the first sunny morning we've had in quite a while, and it just barely qualifies for an honourable mention cubicle geohash!
I've been all around the area of this point before, thanks to working at CERN for more than eight years now. While it is 1.0km from my current desk, I have also worked in the ATLAS Control Room in the past, which is 0.6km from the point.
I went for a walk arriving at the location at 11:11 (an unexpected coincidence, I didn't notice until looking at the photo timestamp). On the way back to my office I stopped at a few of the common CERN sites just for fun. My first successful geohash in over 8 years - it's crazy how fast time passes!
