Ten out of Eleven. Ten years ago, I achieved my first birthday geohash. What a wonderful way to spend one's birthday.

The geohash was located on a field near Althegnenberg. This is a the railway lines from Munich to Augsburg.

I went by car as I am not sure how to deal with public transport in the current circumstances. It would have bee possible though, as Althegnenberg has an S-Bahn station. I parked a the station's park+ride parking lot, grepped my alphorn, forgot to change my shoes into boots (important later) and started walking.

I kind of knew the way in parts, because when I looked for the train station, I took the wrong turn and drove into the street I would be walking along later. I passed some houses and the fields. Something was already seeded, but I have no idea what exactly.

When I arrived in the vicinity, I remembered that the geohash was on a field and that I had boots in my car. The field was a little bit muddy, but not a big problem. I walked along some tractor tracks which made it easier. I took the usual photographs, and headed back.

Something had to be done elsewhere.

On my way, I passed a pond and figured, that would be a perfect place to play alphorn. Like last year, I played "Adeste fidelis" and some more traditional alphorn pieces. No "Happy Birthday" though, because there are g" included which were not possible today, I was already struggling with e".

Finally, I walked back to the car for coffee and some cake at home.

This was my 100th successful geohash attempt, and I had no idea until updating my user page.
