KerrMcF - Expedition 1

Sitting in a village near Warsaw, my girlfriend and I are looking at the weekend's geohashes. There's nothing great nearby, so we decide to check what it looks like back home. Oh, great. It's in the multi-story car park of a shopping centre that I have been to many, many times - an opportunity for a Multiple elevations achievement, something I've been wanting to do for a long time - and I'm over 1,600km away. Time to ask anyone I know who might be willing to go on my behalf.

The first two friends I asked said they wouldn't be able to, which is fair enough. My mum said she potentially could, if I sent her the exact details of where to go and what to do, so I do this. If she ends up going, it will probably be in the early afternoon.

KerrMcF - Expedition 2

As part of my Halloween costume shopping, I had planned to head into Braehead. This would be the first time I had been there in the time after the date of these coordinates, and I decided I would attempt to reach this geohash as a retro expedition during this. It shouldn't take long, and I knew it would be possible due to the previous puppet geohash expedition.

I don't know the exact details of the expedition, as I wasn't there, but I know it was a success. My mum and sister reached the car park at around 2:40pm, but had issues with the GPS thinking that they were in Renfrew instead. 15 minutes later, I get a message saying they had managed to get the location working on the top floor and one level down, but that the signal strength wasn't enough below that. I was also sent four photos, which I have added below. Although they reached the coordinates on all four floors, they were only able to record proof on two of them.

KerrMcF (Retro, 2024-10-29)

I parked in the Blue Car Park before heading into the shopping centre, where I bought things for my costume. This didn't take overly long, and I brought these back to the car before heading towards the point. I was only able to access the geohash on the roof level, with the other floors not properly demonstrating my location on the map, despite the previous attempt being able to do so. After trying and failing to reach it more than once, I headed back to the car and drove home.
