Jack, if you can post an approximate ETA, and perhaps a description/picture of the boat, so the landlubbers know what to watch for, that will be good.

[[User:Jack|Jack]] has a Hobie catamaran that can carry four people (maybe more if they are small and have life jackets).  He's planning to sail it down to Madrona park, pick up anyone he finds there, and sail to the meetup location. If you're interested, bring clothes that can get wet.  If you have them (and these are best together) also bring a life jacket, a waterproof camera, and twister set (ideally with a waterproof substitute for the spinner).

Just sit right back, and you'll hear a tale, a tale of a fateful trip...

About 4 in the afternoon, Jack showed up on his boat at the pier at the park. Nukewaste had concerns about the craft's overall seaworthiness, and elected to document the expedition from shore, but Leo and Arleen jumped aboard, and they set sail for the middle of the lake.

It was mostly calm on the water, though there were many powerboaters out, since it was such a nice day. Wakes became an issue on what looked to be several occasions.

But they made it out there,

and they made it back,

they even looked good doing it.

We then played a game of 1-2-3, a cooperative game that's good for emergencies (when you don't have a game available). It was difficult with four people, but we had fun, took another group photo that looks like we're a band

and then headed our separate ways until next time.

On the Water

Jack's boat was at Sail Sand Point, north of Magnuson Park so he set out earlier to make the meetup. The wind was coming from the NNW, which was good, but there wasn't much, which was bad.

He met the others at Madrona Park and picked up Leo and Arlene at rocky beach south of the swimming area.

Rest of story and pictures are coming soon.
