Expedition

I have been anticipating a geohash point to which I can make my first visit - THIS IS THE DAY! HOORAY!!! I can make a Geohash Dash from work, over my lunch break, because this geohash point is just 15 minutes from the job. I have a "The internet was here!" poster ready to leave behind. I will probably get docked a few minutes (unless I am lucky and traffic is moving well), but such is the price of fame and fortune (lol).

---after the actual deed was done--

Well, I was able to leave precisely at 15:00 hours, Eastern Daylight Time. Round trip took precisely 40 minutes (I got stuck behind a school bus), so I was 00:10 over my lunch period -- but I MADE IT. Yaay!

Before leaving, I printed a "The internet was here!" poster (from the "Active Geohasher" website) which I put into a page protector, and using large paper clips in the three-ring binder holes of the page protector, I hung it from a vine running mostly horizontally about eye-level.

So, this was not only my first Geohash, but it was also a Geohash Dash.
