Other than what is obvious from the map to the right, this graticule boasts of a large line of granite west of the Fall Line which produces beautiful outcroppings remarkable for this region of VA and NC.
Other prominent wonders include Occoneechee State Park near Clarkesville, Staunton River State Park NW of Clarkesville, Kerr Lake State Recreation Area near the NC/VA line, and Falls Lake State Recreation Area between Raleigh/Durham.
