Do we need to have this section here at all? When a user includes the ribbon, it automatically puts the user into the "Land Geohash achievement" category. This section could just have a link to [[http://wiki.xkcd.com/geohashing/Category:Land_geohash_achievement]]. That list is automagically updated each time someone includes the ribbon on a user or expedition page, and doesn't require users to update this list as well as include the ribbon on their page.[[User:Nzsteak|Nzsteak]] 23:43, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Template:Land_geohash includes Category:Coordinates_reached, which results in User: pages and a few random graticules getting listed in that category, which I had assumed was meant for expedition pages only. Can we change that? --Dawidi

If one does a Mouseover day Reto-hash, does that count as a Land geohash achievement?  It would appear to be the "correct" day for

a Geohashing day set of coordinates?

:Retrohashes don't count for most ribbons to avoid people cherry-picking by going back through time to find the most convenient place to go and going there. No one will complain if you take Land for that, but technically it doesn't really count. I think your Radio Yerevan ribbons are absolutely perfect for that purpose. -[[User:Robyn|Robyn]] 05:07, 24 May 2009 (UTC)

Is this sufficient evidence to achieve the Land Geohash award, or do I need more?

Winners section

Do we need to have this section here at all? When a user includes the ribbon, it automatically puts the user into the "Land Geohash achievement" category. This section could just have a link to [[[:Category:Land geohash achievement]]]. That list is automagically updated each time someone includes the ribbon on a user or expedition page, and doesn't require users to update this list as well as include the ribbon on their page.Nzsteak 23:43, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

Expedition Category

Template:Land_geohash includes Category:Coordinates_reached, which results in User: pages and a few random graticules getting listed in that category, which I had assumed was meant for expedition pages only. Can we change that? --Dawidi

We probably can. It's a wiki, after all. Just do it ;-) --Ekorren 22:11, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

Retrohashes don't count for most ribbons to avoid people cherry-picking by going back through time to find the most convenient place to go and going there. No one will complain if you take Land for that, but technically it doesn't really count. I think your Radio Yerevan ribbons are absolutely perfect for that purpose. -Robyn 05:07, 24 May 2009 (UTC)
