James considers himself a friend of Randy's since their 8th grade year, during which they began ignoring Algebra I together with such things as whimsical experimentation in their potential psychic powers, i.e., the self-referential and ill-fated The TTP Project. He was a moderator and/or a wizard on the fora for a while, but apparently is no longer, likely due to considerable bouts of inactivity.

Having had little first-hand exposure to Randy's fame outside of videos of talks and reading articles, he considers a geohash meetup a potentially-interesting dialogue across perspectives. Accordingly, he promotes use of the Richmond, Virginia page on this wiki and the official map tool.

He is the architect and main proponent of the latest collaborative effort of Randy and James' constructive energies, Bangarang, the trebuchet pictured in this blag post. While the trebuchet did not translate as exactly from the design phase to actuality as closely as one may have hoped, it is nonetheless a fairly substantial bit of siege engineering and on-the-whole operational. As it has never truly been fired at anything approaching its calculated range, James hopes to someday turn a Saturday afternoon's geohash into a testing/fine tuning session so that it might better reach its potential. Pocahontas State Park's front field seems to be a viable testing site, but there is some concern as to how park officials might handle such a testing session.

He also finds it tiresome writing in the third person sometimes, and really sorta hopes Randy would sign off on "Make Fun of Childhood Pictures" as a legitimate-enough game for Saturdays, but isn't really holding his breath.
