Today

I visited the co-ordinates of the day in the Cambridge UK graticule. No one else was there. Next time, I'll pre-advertise my intention to make an expedition.

Please do pre-advertise! If you'd indicated an intention to go, I'd have come and met you there. As it was, I thought it was a little far from me (Cambridge), but I'd certainly have been interested to meet new hashers. If you edit the Cambridge page or my talk page, I'll see what plans I've got for the day. Tomorrow's and Monday's points are quite close to today's -- I don't know how accessible they might be. Thanks. I'll get the hang of this eventually. For example I have photos and GPS track evidence but I have not read the instructions for those tasks yet.

It's all straightforward once you've figured out what to do. Photos and GPS tracks are not totally necessary to report a successful expedition, but they're nice to have and other wiki users like looking at them. My home graticule is Norwich so visits to the Cambridge area are a bit far for me unless I'm already heading that way for another reason. Sadly my local Sunday hash is in the sea again.

Hi Neil. Nice to see another active Norwich-based geohasher - I've done a dozen hashes and not met anyone else yet! You'll soon find that most of the hashes in our graticule are either in the sea or in a field! Give me a shout via my discussion page if you're planning a hash and I'll see if I can make it. Hello Ian and thanks for that information. I like fields! I have been working out how to use the wiki. I hope you don't mind but I looked at some of your pages in edit mode to see how things worked. Most useful!

Neil, today's hashpoint is not far from where I live so if I get a chance this afternoon I'll try and make it down. I've got a bunch of jobs to do before that so not sure what time it'll be, but I'll leave a marker in case you get there after me. MagicIan 08:59, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
