On my way home from work, I made quite a long diversion to visit this road hashpoint.
On the outbound journey, the setting sun was visible under a thunder cloud in the far distance. Falling rain, not yet reaching the ground, was visible under the anvil. The road took me closer to the storm and there were wonderful lighting effects with the diffuse orange orb showing through the heavy rain. After a good soaking, I emerged into bright sun and eggshell blue skies. I wish I had a dashboard cam. This was worth recording. The life-lesson is "get out of the house" to experience new things.
At the hashpoint, there was a 30 mph speed limit and I drove through at this speed (The GPSr said 31.7 mph). At the pub just down the road, I made a U turn and returned to the hashpoint. From there I could confirm the the point was in the middle of the lane I had just driven through. Getting the evidence photo was interesting because there was enough passing traffic to make the process potentially dangerous. A car arrived and parked at the house beside the hashpoint but the driver ignored me. Just another nutter standing in the middle of an "A" road playing with tech' toys. It happens every day.
