Expedition
Ex-hurricane Kate influenced this expedition. Driving became increasingly interesting as squally winds and bursts of rain hit the car. The roadside plants and grasses were bending and whipping in the wind. The tropical moisture laden air was above 15C, warmer than many nights in the height of summer. There was a place to park in the opposite field entrance. I stepped out of the car straight into quite deep mud and water. The hashpoint was across the road and not too far into another field with no new growth showing. I managed to get a wind swept and damp proof-photo (not damp-proof) before returning to the muddy puddle. The journey home was not so bad. The worst squalls had passed.
