I took the train to Bad Bentheim and walked the rest of the distance. The coordinates were located on some mud in a clearing in a forest. With each step, I sunk a few centimeters in, but I made it and my feet stayed dry thanks to my shoes.

I left the mud, but stayed on site while waiting until 16:00, and ate my lunch. Nobody else showed up. At four, I located the coordinates again and recorded proof, and then walked to Schüttorf.

On the way, I stepped into a puddle that was a lot deeper than it looked, but again my foot stayed dry and the only effect was that the shoe got cleaner. Seems like I was lucky.

At the train station in Schüttorf, I met someone from the USA who had just taken the train there from the airport and was waiting for a taxi. His taxi came, and soon my train came too, taking me back to Hannover.
