You never know when and who will join you. On my last expedition I was ''sure'' no one else would come, but two people came, and I liked them so much. I have liked ''everyone'' I meet geohashing.  It's a self-selected group of people who are geeky enough to understand it, but cool enough to actually do it. You can't lose! And it's fun even if no one else comes.  I was all alone in Utikuma Lake, but oh the joy I felt when that damned GPS finally counted down to zero. -[[User:Robyn|Robyn]] 21:04, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

Glad to see another geohasher in this area, I myself live 1km from the Coromandel gratical, so if there is any along the cost from maraetai- matingarahi this is a good chance I will try make it there :D [[User:TunezNZ|TunezNZ]] 21:00, 29 January 2009 (UTC)

"alas, how many people would ACTUALLY join her? seems to be quite an obscure place to live." - Hi! Unless you tell us which graticule you live in, how could we tell? (You can put the Template:ASG on your userpage and/or link to your userpage from the page of your home graticule.) --dawidi 12:13, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

how many people would ACTUALLY join her? seems to be quite an obscure place to live.

Not really -- there are several people listed on your home graticule page, and some activity has happened in the past. You might be able to stir something up. And if not, then at least take comfort from the fact that here in the middle of the UK, I'm still the only active geohasher (I think!) in my graticule, so you're not alone. Well, literally yes, but metaphorically no. -- Benjw 12:40, 17 January 2009 (UTC)

Well, i am thrilled to be metaphorically not alone :) You are right. i shall have to stir something up, i only hope you will be able to do the same. Good luck to you my dear!

Welcome

Glad to see another geohasher in this area, I myself live 1km from the Coromandel gratical, so if there is any along the cost from maraetai- matingarahi this is a good chance I will try make it there :D TunezNZ 21:00, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
