It's not a UFO [1], its a VOR, Very high frequency Omni-directional Range. It's a navigational aid. (From before aircraft had GPS.) It's Lat + Long should be recorded quite accurately on aeronautical charts if you need a basepoint for a no batteries geohash. -- Fbfree
