What calendar are we going to do next?

I think that thoughts in this general direction have already been voiced elsewhere, but I don't remember where elsewhere is, so I am starting a discussion here. What calendar are we going to create for 2011?

I propose a geohashing calendar (surprise, surprise) with the theme "scenic locations" or "artistic shots". If it should be limited to pictures of or from the actual geohash, or if locations close by etc. should be considererd, too, I am not sure. I would like to include any picture that captures geohash surroundings artistically, meaning that cool shots of parking lots and the like are absplutely within the scope of the theme. There could be an achievement like The Scenic Shot Achievement, probably with a different name. =D I hope you got my point and are as eager to contribute as I am! -- lyx 01:48, 14 December 2009 (UTC)
I support scenic locations. -- relet 17:32, 15 December 2009 (UTC)
I'd have to support scenic locations as well --mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 21:59, 15 December 2009 (UTC)

I say needs work -- perhaps I know too many photography nerds, but I get a lot of 'scenic shots'-type calendars and none of them ever wind up special unless you took the photo. I think there needs to be some sort of prop or thing in them to make them distinct, something that says geohashing. Personally, the handmade Google-style red arrow signs that some people have made comes to mind -- maybe we have scenic shorts with the arrow in there? - Elbie 16:24, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Hmmmm. Wouldn't it be special if all the pictures either showed the geohash or were taken from the geohash? Each picture will have its special, randomly generated tale. -- lyx 00:27, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Perhaps hashscots in scenic locations or something? --mykaDragonBlue [- i have no sig -] 21:42, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
I guess this means that you don't need me to do a GeoFlashing/Calendar Girl photo any more?--NWoodruff 18:10, 18 December 2009 (UTC)
Hehe, well, who knows. Maybe when we're fed up with the calendars, we'll need models for a trump quartet game. ;) But yeah, calendar girls are soooo 2009. Or 10. Or something. -- relet 01:19, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Do not oppose, although I'd prefer another one with geohashers in it. It's a social activity and there are already plenty of commercial calendars with nice-looking nature. --The ru 09:14, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
Please do propose alternate or more specific themes. I like scenic, and I like geohashers. But I'd most like something that you can actually call a theme, while allowing enough diversity to warrant twelve amazingly creative different entries. -- relet 18:16, 20 December 2009 (UTC)
What about "xkcd markers"? I'd love to see people putting effort into creating awesome markers at hashpoints like 2009-01-11 48 12 text-low.jpg. The most spectacular and creative combinations of scenery, marker and photography would win a place in the calendar. --129.206.75.59 12:08, 23 December 2009 (UTC) (ilpadre)
