About

At the moment I'm a masters student at Kiel university with special interest in Geografical Information Systems (GIS) and spatial analysis. So all maps I show on this page are self-made.

I'm also a more or less active geocacher and I'm mostly on foot or bike, because I don't own a car. To reach hashpoints farther away I sometimes use public transportation or if I just borrowed a car I use this one.

I discovered XKCD in December 2013 in a discussion about password strength and have been since then a regular reader of the comics and the what if?. In this time I found the comic with the Algorithm and was somehow facinated by this idea. The start of my expeditions was delayed several times due to broken bike or camera or both.

My expeditions started in December 2015 in my origin graticule, while I was just checking coordinates for fun with an unexpected result. I'm curious where my journeys will take me in the future.
