This page tracks the most active graticules using two different measurements - the most expeditions (using Category:Expeditions) and the most expeditions where somebody reached that days geohashing coordinates (using Category:Coordinates reached).
It is this editors intention to automate this process at some point in the near future. Suggestions freely taken for other measurements to apply (Mother nature's graticule?), based on existing categories.
