Today's location: not yet announced

The McKinney, Texas graticule is located around latitude 33, longitude -96. It includes a few lakes but is mostly land, with large stretches of open country and farm land. The far northern part of the graticule extends beyond the Red River into Oklahoma.

Residents of McKinney, Allen, Plano, etc. might consider the Dallas area instead on days when the destination is in the northern half of the graticule.

Today's Location: [McKinney, TX]

Local Geohashers

Luke is out and about from time to time.

Belgernon can't make any geohashing points on 12-20. Fail.

Tyarra lives in Plano. And, like Belgernon, will be geohashing in the Dallas and McKinney graticules.

kaizen is not a geohasher yet. Dallas or McKinney will likely be kaizen's geohash debut. With P() > .95

Chrisfaec is not a geohasher yet, and lacks any equipment, but will make attempts at hashes extremely nearby.

Neimster lives one degree to the west (Denton), but 'hashes in all four of the metroplex graticules.

Locations considered

2008-12-19: South of a little town called Dorchester, in a field which is most likely private property.

2008-12-18: A tiny intersection in Van Alstyne, TX. Visited successfully, but after midnight and therefore on the wrong date.

2008-09-08: A field just north o' the border, just southeast of Cartwright, OK.

2008-09-07: A wooded area between Kellogg and Kingston, TX, north of Greenville.

2008-09-06: Saturday meetup! -- Appears to be some farmland between Albana and Utica, OK. Could be a challenge to get to!

2008-09-05: On Blanks Rd. near a forested area on one of the northern peninsulas of Ray Roberts Lake.

2008-09-04: Farm land south of Wade, OK. An expedition planning page saying this was created by User:Belgernon but no other text appeared either on the planning page or on his userpage, so it does not appear that an expedition ever took place.

1997-02-24: At an intersection in Allen.
