::I straightened out my earlier suggestion, but I see that the easier way won't work. Awesome! How'd you do that? I assume future such pages will do that too? -Robyn 16:03, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- They do all now. You may safely revert all your related edits. :P As for the how to, I just added it to the template page. click. -- Relet 16:06, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- There's a problem with it, though. The coordinates are the same for every day, because the individual day's pages use a template that uses the sheet's name to decide which date to auto-calculate with. This problem actually goes all the way back to 2008-07 or so. You -could- go through all the date pages, and change them from "{{auto coordinates}}" to "{{coordinates|####-##-##}}". But it's a lot easier to change Template:Expeditions to use Template:coordinates date and Template:auto gallery, instead of just importing the date's page with "{{:{{{1}}}}}". I hope that helps. I'd do it but I don't have the time :-/ -- Jevanyn
- I'm afraid I can't make any sense of that. Maybe I will figure it out when I go to update one. -70.254.60.132 15:42, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, I see. I think what you suggest (editing all pages) is what we would have to do. Using the sheet name at all broke the monthly archives in the first place. Or we might just remove the coordinate display from the template (it's correctly displayed on the expedition pages anyway). What do you think? -- relet 17:34, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- I straightened out my earlier suggestion, but I see that the easier way won't work. You'd get the right coordinates for each day, but no links to individual expeditions, which is what you really want. I'll be back around lunchtime to do some if no one else gets to it by them. (This would be a nice job for a bot....) -- Jevanyn 16:31, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

- Bleah, I changed 2008-12-02 to use Template:coordinates date, but that didn't help 2008-12. Do I need to refresh a cache somewhere? -- Jevanyn 17:21, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
