mtu earned the Drag-along achievement by dragging seamus_d and Johannes to the (53, 9) geohash on 2010-09-17.

mtu earned the Land geohash achievement by reaching the (54, 11) geohash on 2010-11-14.

mtu earned the Public transport geohash achievement by reaching the (54, 11) geohash on 2010-11-14 via ICE 33.

mtu earned the Graticule Unlocked Achievement by being the first to reach any hashpoint in the (54, 11) graticule, here, on 2010-11-14.

mtu earned the GeoTrash Geohash Achievement by cleaning up the (54, 11) geohash on 2010-11-14.

mtu earned the Frozen Geohash Achievement by reaching the (52, 10) geohash on 2010-12-24 while the temperature was -2 °C.

mtu earned the Bicycle geohash achievement by cycling 26 km to the (53, 10) geohash on 2011-01-20.

mtu and seamus_d earned the Picnic achievement by eating sandwiches and self-made cookies at the (53, 10) geohash on 2011-01-30.

mtu and his girlfriend earned the Taxi geohash achievement by taking a taxi to the (54, 11) geohash on 2010-11-14.

mtu earned the Christmas Geohash achievement by spending part of Christmas Eve at the (52, 10) geohash on 2010-12-24.

mtu earned the Father and Son ribbon by geohashing with his father at the (52, 10) geohash on 2010-12-24.

For his first five geohashes, mtu had the wrong map datum set on his GPS device—namely the Potsdam datum instead of the globally accepted standard, WGS 84—causing him to not visit the actual, canonical hashpoints, but places about 200 m away in SSW-erly direction.

In all cases, the actual hashpoints would have been easily accessible, but were missed by 20–200 m solely due to mtu's ineptitude.

In commemoration of this epic fail,

mtu earned the False Start Consolation Prize by finding that all of his first 5 geohashes are invalid because the map datum on his GPS was wrongly set to the Potsdam datum instead of the WGS 84 global standard, causing the loss of 13 achievements and approximately 31 hours of lifetime, up to and including the (54, 10) geohash on 2010-11-10.

As a consequence, all achievements formerly claimed for those hashes (except Drag-along achievements) are null and void. There is an exhibition of all the consolation prizes and Radio Yerevan achievements earned through this ordeal in mtu's Hall of Fail.
