The Newark graticule is at 40 N, -74 W. This may very well be the most densely populated graticule in the United States, as it includes almost the entire northern half of New Jersey, the mostly densely populated state (Census), as well as Staten Island, western sections of Brooklyn and lower Manhattan in New York, and a part of Pennsylvania northeast of Philadelphia. In addition, other than Raritan Bay, there are no large sections of water.
You can click here for Todays Location.
A Facebook Group has been created for this graticule.

Local Geohashers
Daily Locations
Older locations have been archived.
6/24/08
Kevin Drive, Flanders. Weren't we just here?
6/23/08
Carteret, NJ, next to a holding tank at a refinery. I wouldn't throw a match in, if my pal Muggsy was in there, would I?
6/22/08 - Sunday
S. Ridgewood Road, South Orange. Cameron Field Park is two blocks away, across South Orange Ave.
6/21/08 - Saturday
Woodport. Splash: North end of Lake Hopatcong. Jetski geohash!
6/20/08
Village Park Road, Cedar Grove.
6/19/08
Hillside Ave, Flanders.
6/18/08
Farmingdale. Off Route 33 in Farmingdale, near Colts Neck Rd, south of Naval Weapons Station Earle. There's a half-mile dirt racetrack nearby, but I can't tell if it's for horses or motorcycles.
6/17/08
Hulmeville, PA. In a clump of trees behind the houses on Craig Ave. and Sheri Rd., Hulmeville, PA. You may not have to go through anyone's property to get there, since there seems to be a creek or gully from Bensalem Blvd back to the spot.
6/16/08
Northbound Garden State Parkway past exit 116, off the shoulder after the Holmdel Rd. overpass. Free Speed Racer Achievement for anyone going to the PNC arts center today.
6/15/08 - Sunday
Wertzville Rd, Montgomery, near the Hillsborough Country Club.
6/14/08 - Saturday
In the Hackensack River near the Meadowlands.
6/13/08
Forest Hill Rd, Staten Island, New York. Might I suggest Staten Island Mall instead?
6/12/08
US 206, Hillsborough.
6/11/08
Off Long Hill Road between Montgomery and Rock Mill, Somerset County.
6/10/08
Gaston Avenue, in Garfield (or maybe Lodi). Close to Dahnerts Lake County Park.
6/9/08
Near Jacksonville, Burlington County, NJ. The spot looks like it's been cleared for development. It's also close the Burlington Center Mall, and three golf courses. (Surprising for New Jersey in general: this is the first time the geohash has been this close to a mall.)
6/8/08 - Sunday
Massachusetts Ave., Lakewood NJ. Near the US 9 / NJ 70 interchange.
6/7/08 - Saturday
Water. Raritan Bay.
