Camping

Off topic here... I'm surprised, but it appears there's no kind of camping, tenting, or overnight achievement? I would create one, but as Robyn knows, I can't even get around to finishing my own expedition pages. It would be a great achievement that many could participate in. It would also be a great warm up to this achievement. Rules would be simple:

reach the coordinates by the 4pm meetup time
camp out within 1km of the coordinates
stay at least until sunrise
you can use a tent, a box, or whatever shelter you want except buildings, RVs, or vehicles

Yay Robyn

I think you should of been a lawyer. It took me several times reading over the requirements to realize the reasons for the wordiness. The problem you identified is those living to the extreme north and south. I know even within BC, in warm weather, you can have nights that only last 2 hours. I already looked at doing this tomorrow, unfortunately the farmer whose field it belongs to might not appreciate it. Juventas 09:04, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

Hee hee. I deliberately didn't explain in more detail to allow people to who live in orderly places where the sun always sets around six or seven o' clock to have that moment of "oh cool!" as they realize that people actually live and geohash in places where the sun only pretends to go down for a couple of hours in the summer, or doesn't set at all until September. And as you deduced, I didn't want the ru to log this achievement by stopping to wax his skis for a few minutes. -Robyn 09:11, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

I am insanely jealous. I wanted it first. Now that I got that out, you guys sure earned it. Doing it together (having met because of it?), internationally, under your own power, and straight into another? Wow.
