The Atlanta graticule is at latitude 33, longitude -84.The graticule contains most of metro Atlanta, apart from some northern and eastern suburbs. There are few terrain obstacles, but much of the southern half of the graticule has a sparse road network.

An algorithm variant is proposed on the talk page.

Upcoming Geohashes

This is the place to post information about geohashes in the immediate future.

Today's Location: [Atlanta, GA]

2010-03-29 Monday More than a 1/2 mile walk into the woods east of Johnsonville in the very south east corner of the graticule.

Very bad news: Saturday April 24, 2010 my truck was broken into and various items of value were stolen from it, including my eTrex and camera that was in my travel bag. With finances as they are, it doesn't appear that any time soon I'll be able to replace them. Good luck to you all. --NWoodruff 02:39, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
