The Atlanta graticule is at latitude 33, longitude -84.The graticule contains most of metro Atlanta, apart from some northern and eastern suburbs. There are few terrain obstacles, but much of the southern half of the graticule has a sparse road network.

An algorithm variant is proposed on the talk page.

Arrow2.png2009-12-31 New Years Eve In the parking lot of a warehouse west of Atlanta Proper.

Arrow2.png2009-12-29 Tuesday In the parking lot of a CVS store in Chamblee Georgia. Google can also see this one[1]

Arrow2.png2009-12-24 Christmas Eve In the parking lot of a church downtown Atlanta. Devine intervention?

Arrow2.png2009-12-18 Friday 50 feet into the woods from a parking lot of a golf course north west of River Hills just south of I-675 and I-285. Google can see this one. [2]

Arrow2.png2009-12-17 Thursday In the back yard of a house in Ellenwood. This is LuxMundi's hood. I wonder if he will show up for this one... Probably not, Slacker.

Arrow2.png2009-12-16 Wednesday In the back corner of an apartment complex in Druid Hills. This one is also reachable.

Arrow2.png2009-12-15 Tuesday 300' into the woods near Douglasville Georgia. It is reachable

Arrow2.png2009-12-14 Monday On someones house in Duluth Georgia. This hash point is reachable.

Arrow2.png2009-12-12 Saturday In the middle of the street of a half complete subdivision in Mableton Georgia. There should be no reason that I don't make this one.

Arrow2.png2009-12-09 Wednesday In the back yard of a house in Lawrenceville Georgia.

Arrow2.png2009-11-28 Saturday In an apartment complex in North Druid Hills Georgia.

Arrow2.png2009-11-25 Wednesday In the back yard of a house in Redan Georgia. I might attempt this around 7pm to 7:30pm hour.

Arrow4.png2009-11-16 Monday The official location is in the South West corner of the Grat west of Hogansville Georgia. An alternate location has been suggested by ??? I have looked at the Roswell grat which is closest to where I work and it is far into someone back 40 probably hard to get to. I've also looked at the Toccoa Grat and this one is smack dab in Lake Lanier. So... I'll show up at the alternate around the 6pm hour. I have no idea what is there.

Arrow2.png2009-11-15 Sunday The west side of Atlanta proper in Oakland City. This appears to be in the back yard of a house there. I am going to attempt it. It might take some real fast talking. If any else is attempting this and the owner of the property says someone else showed up looking for a lost dog or Frisbee or something else, just go with the flow.

Arrow2.png2009-11-13 Friday the Thirteenth In a possible shopping center in College Park Georgia. I will be at this one in the 6pm to 7pm hour.

Arrow2.png2009-11-12 The day after Veterans Day In the back parking lot of the Tree Lodge Apartment complex. I'll attempt this geohash in the 6:30 to 7:30pm hour. Coordinates 33.7722307, -84.6259198 LuxMundi sez: looks like it's fenced/gated  :-(

Might have been at one time but both the street view and aerial view has what looks like could be gates open... [3] --NWoodruff 15:59, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Nothing says that you just couldn't walk on to the property if the gate was closed either. --NWoodruff 16:02, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
Sorry WRONG MAP! I was looking at the wrong apartment complex. This is the correct one[4]. The Gate is only to stop cars. If you park at the leasing office, you are already past the gates. You could walk from there. --NWoodruff 16:10, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
I'm looking at Bing Bird's Eye view. (too lazy to link) I'm not saying it's not reachable, but definitely a little fence to deal with.
Actually you are right. Here is the Bing map [5] You have to click on the birds eye view though. I'm calling the place after I finish lunch and set up an appointment to view the property tonight at 6:30pm --NWoodruff 17:34, 12 November 2009 (UTC)

Arrow2.png2009-11-05 Thursday In a parking lot area of an apartment complex near Tucker Georgia. This one is defiantly reachable. I'll probably be there in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour. Still looking for LuxMundi to make an appearance.

Arrow2.png2009-11-03 Tuesday Appears to be in the back yard of someone's house in Marietta Georgia. I might attempt this one at Lunch time as it is close to my office. 14 in a row for me.

Arrow2.png2009-11-02 Monday Inside the interchange for I-285 and I-675. Should be easy to get to. I'll be there in the 6:30 to 7:30pm hour even though it will be dark. I drove within 100m this morning, without realizing it! May stop on my way home???

Arrow2.png2009-11-01 Sunday At the end of the street in again Snellville Georgia. There is no reason why this one couldn't be made.

Arrow2.png2009-10-31 Halloween On the edge of a lake in Snellville Georgia. Geohash found!

Arrow2.png2009-10-30 Friday Under some power lines east of Redan Georgia. This one is reachable and probably I'll be there in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour.

Arrow2.png2009-10-29 Thursday In someones house in Dunwoody. I can make this one on my way home from work in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour. These are the last days to Geohash before the time changes on Sunday and it is dark at this time.

2009-10-28 Wednesday Located in the gated River Forest subdivision, in the Little Towaliga River. This would have been a great weekend hash, but given my work schedule, it would have been after dark before I arrived. Keeping this on the list as a cool place to retrohash via kayak (after I get a waterproof GPSr -- not taking the iphone down the river).

Arrow2.png2009-10-27 Tuesday On the edge of a pond in a persons back yard in Powder Springs Georgia. I will probably attempting this one after work as it will probably require someone to be home.

Arrow2.png2009-10-26 Monday Another Speed racer Geohash. This one is on Holcomb Bridge Road in Roswell. Not the Roswell Graticule, Roswell the City. If I take back roads home and not the interstate, this geohash is on my way home.

Arrow2.png2009-10-25 Sunday HOBOHASH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On some railroad tracks west of Atlanta Proper. This one might take some creative talking to get to.

Arrow2.png2009-10-24 Saturday On North Fulton Golf Course. This one might be problematic as I think this is a members only golf course and not open to the public. I've driven past this golf course in the past. I seem to remember that it is a closed course. LM: this appears to be on the tee-box of the 12th tee. This is a public course. I could possibly play if any hasher wants to earn the Golf Hash award. Email me ASAP and I will make a tee-time!!!

Arrow2.png2009-10-23 Friday In some back woods in Tucker Georgia. I'll be there in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour.

Arrow2.png2009-10-22 Thursday In the middle of Highway 124 south of Lawrenceville. If NWoodruff doesn't make this one, he must be in the hospital or in jail. LuxMundi is trying to think of an excuse to head up that way.

Arrow2.png2009-10-21 Wednesday 20 feet off of a gravel driveway near Tyrone. LuxMundi stopped short due to No Trespassing signage.

Arrow4.png2009-10-18 Sunday Jonesboro, in the middle of a large field. I will probably make this one around the noon hour.

Arrow2.png2009-10-14 Wednesday, 2 days after Columbus Day In someone's front yard North of Tyrone. LuxMundi made it out to Tyrone after work, and received land owner's permission to visit hash. NWoodruff had to work late on the other side of the graticule.

Arrow4.png2009-10-13 Tuesday, Day after Columbus Day In the back corner of a house in Riverdale. I wonder if we could do a Dinner Geohash at this place. This would usually be a "gimmee" for me but I have a night project in Gwinnett. I could still make it before midnight, but I don't think they would appreciate a late visitor. Arrow2.pngI will be at 33.90390364,-84.12012577 for Thai food, at approx 6:45; I'll buy a big pot of Tom Kha Gai to share. Unfortunately, I can't drink since I am the safety supervisor for the project. I waited around till 7pm, Sorry I missed you. That also means our Coordinates reached for today too. I'm sorry I got caught in the triple-fatality wreck in Stn Mtn. I just got here. I will owe you a Thai soup or a Singha beer. LuxMundi

Arrow2.png2009-10-10 Saturday In Jonesboro, off to the side of the road on Tara Blvd. Should be a good Geohash for Luxmundi Yes, this is in the Mundi's Mill area, so how could I not go?

Arrow2.png2009-10-09 Friday Appears to be on the access road for the High tension power lines east of Fairburn. It does look to be accessible. I will likely attempt this hash in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour.

Arrow2.png2009-10-08 Thursday In the back yard of a house south east of Stone Mountain Park. I will likely attempt this hash in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour. Finally I get to claim my Last Man Standing!

Arrow2.png2009-10-07 Wednesday 10 mile from where I work near Dallas Georgia. I should be doing this geohash in the Lunch time hour.

Arrow4.png2009-10-06 Tuesday Finally on my side of town. This hash is about 5 miles from my house. I will be there in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour. I'll still be looking for LuxMundi to show up so we can go for a beer. I'd actually invite the Woodveil guys for a beer, but I don't think they are old enough.

2009-09-29 Tuesday - Eagles Landing Country Club (GATED and guarded). There might be a possible way to walk in... I'll have to try. LuxMundi: not an expedition per se, but I attempted to find a real estate agent to escort me into Eagles Landing (and thus score the Drag Along Achievement). I played phone tag with 2 agents, but turned out neither one of them could do anything today. The bad thing is that they now have all my contact info and think that I am hot to buy a $700 to $900,000 home (the price range on the street of the hash).

Arrow2.png2009-09-27 Sunday - In the middle of the road in Dunwoody. A very easy hash to get to and on my side of the town. I more than likely will make this hash at 4pm. Woodveil will be sure to drop by at some point to earn a Déjà Vu Geohash.

2009-09-26 Saturday - In a part of Atlanta that is probably sill under water. It looks to be about 1/2 mile walk into the woods.

Arrow2.png2009-09-25 Friday - LuxMundi made it out to La Grange... a haw, haw, haw, haw. NWoodruff Made it out to Sugar Hill in the Toccoa Graticule... a haw, haw, haw.....well,,, minus the ZZ Top.

9/24 Thurs: McDonough, GA -- LuxMundi: I'm not going. With a point this far East, I would love to shoot for an Anniston, AL hash, but it appears to be in a secure area at a GA Power Plant.

Arrow2.png2009-09-23 Wednesday - Henry County - NWoodruff and LuxMundi made separate expeditions.

Arrow2.png2009-09-22 Tuesday - Lithonia -LuxMundi got scared. NWoodruff made it.

Arrow2.png2009-06-28 Sunday - In the deep woods in Chamblee.

Arrow4.png2009-06-27 Saturday - Almost as far south as you can go in the Graticule.

Arrow2.png2009-06-26 Friday - In a parking lot in Marietta.

Arrow2.png2009-06-25 Thursday - Appears to be in someone's back yard [6]. I'll be attempting this one after work.

Arrow2.png2009-06-24 Wednesday - Senoia, south of the city. I attempted this one after work.

Arrow2.png2009-06-22 Monday - In a building due west from the airport. It does look like it is in a secured area. Might be another "No Trespassing" geohash. It is at the Coca Cola plant [7]. This turned out to be one of the weirdest geohashes I've(NWoodruff) ever done.

Arrow4.png2009-06-19 Friday - In a more affluent area of Atlanta. I tried and fail to reach the hash point.

Arrow2.png2009-06-11 Thursday - On Fulton Industrial Blvd in West Atlanta. I have no reason why I shouldn't make this. I did make it and it turned out to be in the middle of a busy street.

Arrow2.png2009-06-08 Monday - South east of McDonough. I don't think I will make this one today. Actually I did make this one after work.

Arrow2.png2009-06-02 Tuesday - South Fulton County. Google Street views can see it. No reason why it shouldn't be reachable.

Arrow2.png2009-06-01 Monday - South of Stockbridge in what looks like a soon to be air strip. I made the trip out and found the Geohash point.

Arrow2.png2009-05-31 Sunday - In a parking lot just south of Dobbins Air Force base in Mayretta. It turned out to be in the Air force base. Puppet Master award was Achieved.

Arrow4.png2009-05-30 Saturday - In a back yard just south of Stone Mountain Park. The No Trespassing award was accepted.

Arrow2.png2009-05-29 Friday - In Sweetwater Creek State Park near Douglasville.

Arrow2.png2009-05-27 Wednesday - 2 miles from my house. This should be an easy one. peeron map is slightly outdated as in it has the detour of pleasant hill to buford hwy. That was completed about 6 months ago. The hash point should fall somewhere now off to the side of the off ramp to buford hwy. I might be able to do this one again without getting out of the truck.

Arrow2.png2009-05-24 Sunday - In a driveway of a house in Sherwood forest. Yes, you heard me right. The house is off of Robin Hood Road. This one would be good for the Woodveil guys. I (NWoodruff) attempted it and made it, although I didn't take any pictures. I do have the tracklog though.

Arrow2.png2009-05-22 Friday - Appears to be at the end of a street. Google street view can get there, there should be no reason why we couldn't get there. I attempted it and drove to the exact spot.

Arrow2.png 2009-05-20 Wednesday - This one should be really easy to get to. What was once a farming land with a couple of houses on it is now a barren lot that appears to be abandoned by a builder [8]. The empty lot has roads cut but just empty lots now. I made it after work.

Arrow2.png 2009-05-13 Tuesday - Appears to be in the back yard of a house in Roswell. This should be a good hash for the Woodveil guys. NWoodruff did make it.

Arrow2.png 2009-05-03 Sunday - I NWoodruff made it out to the hash point and knocked on the door of the wrong house.

Arrow2.png 2009-05-02 Saturday - From Google and Mapquest maps, this hash point appeared to be in the back yard of some town houses. Since Google maps placement of the hash was still in the woods and Mapquest isn't able to plot lat and lon, it was only an estimate. The hash point turned out to be in the house that is vacant and for sale.

Arrow2.png 2009-05-01 Friday - I NWoodruff made it out to the hash point in a not so good side of town.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-27 Monday - I NWoodruff made it out to the hash point. I waited around for a few minutes for any sign of the Woodveil guys.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-25 Saturday - The Woodveil guys made it out to this hash point. I unfortunately had used up my excuses this month at work to Geohash and spent the day on the clock.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-12 Easter Sunday - Is it possible that NWoodruff has done it again? Check the official report.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-11 Saturday - Is it possible that a new XKCD record has been set? Check the official report.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-10 Good Friday - Can I (NWoodruff) do it and make it to the hash point for 6 in a row? Check the official report.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-09 Thursday - This was a long and tiring Geohash. But, I (NWoodruff) made it to the hash point. Success! 5 in a row.

Arrow2.png 2009-04-03 Friday - I (NWoodruff) made it to the hash point. Success!

Arrow2.png 2009-03-21 - First Day of Spring. This hash point is in the bowels of Atlanta. I(NWoodruff) had an interesting trip and was able to make this hash point.

Arrow2.png 2009-03-20 Friday - NWoodruff stepped up and met the challenge.

Arrow2.png 2009-03-10 - Riverdale time. Woodveil and NWoodruff met up in a park outside of a public library. A very pleasant hash, indeed.

Arrow2.png 2009-03-08 - Woodveil finally hit an Atlanta geohash, in the far Western edge of the grat. Fantastic!! I wish I could have tried it with you guys. --NWoodruff 19:24, 9 March 2009 (UTC)

Arrow2.png 2009-03-06 - This hash is in a back yard of a house in Marietta Georgia. I was able to make this hash point on my extended lunch 2 hour. It was such a GREAT! spring day here in Atlanta, I didn't want to go back to work.

Arrow2.png 2009-03-03 - This hash is in a KMart store located in the Paulding commons shopping center. I (NWoodruff) was able to reach it, Success! Take that Woodveil...<sound of Whip cracking> You guys are slacking off in Jacksonville while I'm out geohashing.

Arrow4.png 2009-02-24 - This hash is on hundreds of acres of prime hunting ground. No Trespassing signs are posted every where. I wouldn't try attempting this hash unless you feel like getting shot at. I (NWoodruff) was unable to reach the actual hash point.

Arrow4.png 2009-02-23 - This hash is on a private lake. The people owning the property make every effort to let you know that. NWoodruff reached it. Very good effort, sir! -- Woodveil

Arrow2.png 2009-02-22 - This one was a decent hike into some woods near Newman, but Woodveil got there eventually.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-21 - Woodveil got permission from the wrong house to take pictures of a fence. At least no one called the cops.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-19 - This hash was at a mail box, South West of the airport a few miles. Woodveil and NWoodruff reached it.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-16 - This hash was on the side of the road, West of the airport. Woodveil reached it, eventually.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-15 - A pleasant hash near a golf course in Peachtree City.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-14 - Woodveil hiked through some wilderness near Stone Mountain and reached the hash a few minutes past 4:00.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-11 - This hash was on interstate, prime for a speed-racer achievement. Eastbound I20, to be precise.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-08 - This hash was a little East of downtown, in a subdivision. The actual point was in some woods, whereat Woodveil had a picnic.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-07 - Woodveil reached these nice coordinates at 4:00. Successful Ambassador hash in a backyard.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-06 - This hashpoint was near I285 and I20, east of downtown. Woodveil decided to mix it up with a midnight speed-racer hash.

Arrow2.png 2009-01-31 - This hashpoint was located about 15 minutes away from NWoodruff, who met up with Woodveil there at 4:00.

Arrow2.png 2009-01-29 - This hashpoint was a couple miles away from the hash for 2009-01-09, out along I20. The actual point was in a front yard.

Arrow2.png 2009-01-22 - This hashpoint is less than 10 miles away from Woodveil, who completed a bicycle and ambassador hash around 5:00 PM.

Arrow2.png 2009-01-16 - This hashpoint was also very convenient for those in or just west of Atlanta. It lay in the middle of a residential street just outside of I285. Woodveil completed a frozen speed-racer geohash around 1:00.

Arrow2.png 2009-01-11 - The hash was located in a vacant lot in a neighborhood in the northeast corner of the graticule. NWoodruff and Woodveil successfully reached it.

Oct 18 2008 Meetup NWoodruff would like to invite all Atlanta Graticule geohashers to join him at the Talking Rock Graticule this Saturday in Roswell.

Nov 01 2008 Meetup NWoodruff will be attempting this GeoHash on a bicycle. It is about 10 miles from my home in Norcross. If you are reading this before the meetup time, please try to attend. Expedition can be found here.

Jan 24 2009 Meetup I (NWoodruff) seeing that this hash point is about an hour and a half from my home, is contemplating making this geohash. Someone(possibly Woodveil) has indicated on the map that they will be at the hash point. I clicked on the map that I wouldn't be attending, since there isn't a maybe option. There is a possibility that I will need to be in Alpharetta at 3pm on Saturday. If that is the case I won't make it. But, I probably won't know until Noon time on Saturday, if I need to be there. If I do not need to be in Alpharetta, I'll attempt the geohash and try to meet up with Woodveil again, especially since they have recently acquired a shiny new GPS device. Check back after 12Noon on Saturday for my update. Woodveil is actually in the Jacksonville, Florida graitcule for the weekend… Good luck up there!
Edit: How'd it go?
Edit: Had to work. :(

Jan 31 2009 Meetup I (NWoodruff) will be attempting this geohash in the 4pm hour. It is about 15 minute drive from my house(Maybe 20 with stoplights). I may have a drag along with me. Woodveil Do you have a twister board?
Woodveil will be there at 4, and also proposes we move the meetup into that nearby park after the hashpoint is reached. Let's explore the river! Woodveil 18:44, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

Saturday February 07 2009 looks good too, in the backyard of a HUGE house. Woodveil is going for an official xkcd meetup, 4:00 sharp.
- 13:06, 6 February 2009

Arrow2.png 2009-02-21 - We will be attempting the hash at 4:00. &%$^ work is preventing me today from reaching the hash. (NWoodruff)

2009-04-11 Saturday - In Palmetto Georgia, Not far off of the interstate. Can I(NWoodruff) make it 7 in a row?

Sunday Meetups

June 22 2008 Meetup The actual area is behind a fenced in area as it contains a drainage area. Attendance = 1. I( NWoodruff) was able to get within 10 feet or so to the east of the exact location. There was a door to this area which is not locked but with as over grown the vegetation had become, I became satisfied to sit on the manhole cover nearest the drainage pit. I did scratch XKCD into the iron manhole cover(which is made in India) with a small rock I found near by. I dubbed the location Geohashed. Report

July 6 2008 Meetup The location appears to be a 1/4 mile into the woods from the nearest road. It is quite a distance for me(NWoodruff). I do not have a GPS to go tracking to find this location. Expected attendance = 0. (Please update). I've clicked the flag on the map and noted that I will not be attending.

July 13 2008 Meetup The location appears to be in someones back yard. It seems to be reachable with a place to park on the side of the road. I will be attempting to Geohash the location at 16:00. Please update if you plan on attending. Attendance = 1.

Aug 10 2008 Meetup Douglasville time, on Chapel Hill road even. This will be a drive and a half for me but I( NWoodruff) have an old friend that lives about a mile and a half south of this point on Chapel Hill road. Looks like it is time to go see them. I will be showing up at 4pm local time. Also this spot can qualify you for the Speed Racer achievement. Expected attendance = 1. Please update if you plan on attending. Be looking for a Red Ford Ranger parked on the side of the road nearest the spot. Expedition can be found here.

Nov 09 2008 Meetup Everyone should be able to make it to this one. This is right off Peachtree Road right near the Marta Brookhaven station. You could walk from the Marta station to this hash point. There is no reason why everyone from this Graticule can't make it. NWoodruff will be there and expecting to meet other Geohashers. Be there or be square. Attendance = 1. Expedition can be found at 2008-11-09.

Nov 16 2008 Meetup Easily reachable in the parking lot of a restaurant. Everyone should be able to make it to this one.

Jan 11 2009 Meetup Mapquest says that this hash point is 7.57 miles from my house. I (NWoodruff) will be attempting this hash on a bicycle. The weather channel says it will be sunny with a high of 45'. It will be cold but since I haven't been on a bicycle since the first week in December, it will be a good time to get me off of my lazy behind. Look for me, (Woodveil and other geohashers) to arrive around the 4pm meetup time. Woodveil ought to be there, with snacks. Who's bringing games? Actual attendance = 3. Expedition can be found here.

Arrow2.png 2009-02-22 - We'll be hiking out to this one. It looks to be in swampy land, but we'll have multiple maps and our GPS. This should be fun. --Woodveil 00:39, 22 February 2009 (UTC)

2009-04-12 Sunday - West of Newnan. Might be too far South and West for me. Or is it?

Weekday Meetups

Friday May 30 2008: Coordinates reached by Depquid and brother.

Friday June 20 2008 Very Reachable. In Henderson Park in Tucker. ElSupreme Will try to get his girlfriend to go there with him today. Come in the Livesy Rd / Henderson Park Road entrance and picnic by the lake before trudging into the woods for the actual point.

June 30 2008 Meetup Looks very reachable on the east side of town. Near Sam's Crossing in Avondale. Go east on East Ponce DeLeon to the bottom of the hill. Turn left on Dekalb Industrial and turn in to the 3rd driveway on the right. The thumbtack thingy is just at the front of their building (at the left most of the handicapped parking spaces, it looks like). Expected attendance = 0 (please update).

Thursday July 17 2008 Coordinates reached by Sparr and a friend

Thursday July 24 2008 Although this GeoHash is within 10 or so miles of my house( NWoodruff), it appears to be in a gated community. I have nothing better to do tonight, if I can get off work at a decent time, I will attempt this GeoHash around 19:00. I will attempt the Ambassador Geohash instead of the No Trespassing Geohash.

Monday July 28 2008 This is the perfect GeoHash for me NWoodruff. It is not that far out of my way and I could qualify for a Speed Racer GeoHash. Unfortunately though tonight I am making it to the Braves game at the Ted this evening so this hash is the opposite direction that I will be traveling.

Monday Aug 11 2008 Speed Racer Time!!! I NWoodruff will be Speed Racing this hash in the 7pm hour. Please update if you plan on Racing through and I will make sure to pull off on the side of the road and wait at the nearest point to the hash. 2008-08-11

Friday Aug 29 2008 This hash is a few miles from Dragon*Con, quite accessible to tens of thousands of geeks. I proposed a 7PM meetup on the livejournal for the event, maybe we can set a new record for the grat? ( NWoodruff) would love to but, getting downtown at that time of night for me is going to be a problem. 9pm would be better and then try to qualify for the Pub geohash achievement. It seems like I've been the only one doing the geohashing lately.

Monday Sept 08 2008 White water rafting time. Too bad I don't have my kayak with me as in this white water geohash is only a few miles out of my way on my( NWoodruff) drive home. I don't have my camera with me either. I need to always have it in my truck from now on.

Monday Sept 15 2008This Geohash is only about 10 miles from where I( NWoodruff) work and only about 5 miles out of my way to reach. I drive home I-75 south from Kennesaw every day so this isn't that far out of my way. I'll do the hash at about 6pm this evening. I don't have my camera with me. I'll see if I can find one before the end of the day rolls around. Please update if you plan on attending so I hang around long enough to meet up. Expedition with out pictures can be found here 2008-09-15.

Thursday Oct 02 2008Druid Hills area... Anyone interested? Appears to be in someones back yard. Should we bring cake?

Tuesday Oct 07 2008 Riverdale, Baseball time. Bring your ball gloves. We should atleast be able to play catch. I NWoodruff, might be able to make it tonight. I could always play catch with God if no one else shows up. Please update if you plan on attending.

Tuesday Nov 04 2008 This is less than 1/2 mile from NWoodruff's house as the crow flies. I attempted a Geohash yesterday in the Toccoa Graticule but failed because it was too dark. But, I am going to do this come hell or high water. Expedition can be found here 2008-11-04

Tuesday Dec 09 2008This hash point is right at 12 miles from my(NWoodruff's) office. Any one else like to attempt this Geohash with me? I have marked on the map that I will be attending. I am going to attempt this hash in the time span of 5pm to 5:30pm. Please update if you would like to attend.

Thursday January 08 2009 This hash point is very convenient for those in or just west of Atlanta. The actual hash point is located on a road less than 10 minutes off of I20, and all but the last 30 feet or so is paved. We (Woodveil) reached the hash around noon, but school precluded the creation of this write-up until the evening. Sorry if we missed anyone.

Friday January 09 2009 Geosquishee hash out along I20. Here is the expedition, for the sake of completeness.

Friday January 16 2009 This hash point is also very convenient for those in or just west of Atlanta. It lies in the middle of a residential street just outside of I285. Woodveil will attempt a frozen speed-racer geohash around 1:00. Update before noon and we can wait a bit. Today is actually Friday, not Thursday. The story.

Thursday January 22 2009 This hash point is less than 10 miles away from Woodveil, who will attempt a bicycle and ambassador hash around 5:00 PM. Success!!

Thursday January 29 2009 This hash point is a couple miles away from the hash for 2009-01-09, out along I20. The actual point is in a front yard. Woodveil is attempting the hash around 3:45 4:45. Update if you might be in the area and we'll have a meetup. I (NWoodruff) am not getting off work until around 5:30pm I wouldn't be able to make it there till well after dark. I'll see you come the weekend. Expedition is here.

Friday February 06 2009 looks like a good bet. On a street in a subdivision Southeast of Atlanta. Woodveil is attempting this hash around 4:00 at midnight.
- 21:22, 6 February 2009

Wednesday February 11 2009 Speed Racer Time. This hash can be achieved by heading west on Interstate 20 east of Atlanta. Exit I-20 at Georgia Hwy 138 and return to I-20 heading west. You are sure not to miss the hash point. I(NWoodruff) would like to warn Woodveil against making this a picnic geohash or even attempting to take pictures at the actual hash point.

Woodveil will likely attempt this hash at around 1:30, but has college first. --Woodveil 15:54, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
Success! --Woodveil 19:01, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
NWoodruff will likely be attempting this hash at some point later today, but has a real job first. I don't have my camera with me either, or a shiny new GPS unit, or a life. Will probably be attempting in the 6:30pm hour.
Success! No pictures though. I didn't have my camera, it was already dark and raining.

February 13, 2009 meetup. This hash is in a parking lot off of Stone Mountain Lithonia Road. Great potential for a Public Transport geohash. Train to bus transfer, then a five minute walk. We will likely attempt. --Woodveil 15:41, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Arrow2.png 2009-02-19 - Southwest of the Airport about a mile or two. Woodveil will be there around 4:30 or 5. Expect chalking. I (NWoodruff) may attempt this one in the 6:30pm to 7:30pm hour. I do have my camera with me today! Success!!

Arrow4.png 2009-03-10 Tuesday - Riverdale time. In a parking lot. I (NWoodruff) might be able to make this geohash after work. Woodveil will probably attempt the hash sometime after 5 today. The hash appears to be in a library parking lot.

2009-03-24 Tuesday - As I(NWoodruff) got out of my truck this morning to ride the last 6 miles to work on a bicycle, I remember that I left my camera sitting on top of my computer at home today. It will be unlikely that I will be able to geohash today. It turned out okay as in the hash point is way too far south for me. I did look up the Talking Rock location and it is only 9 miles north of me. If I had my camera, I might have attempted it.

2009-04-10 Good Friday - I(NWoodruff) was awaiting the 9:30am market open time when I clicked on the map and the thumb tack popped up. It is a holiday today and the market is closed. So, we already have Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays Geohash points. Can I make it 6 in a row? The hash appears to be in some woods in Yorkville Georgia, yea, I've never heard of it either and I've lived here most of my life. Check back in after 2pm EDT to find out.
