About

I was born and raised in the Aurora, Illinois graticule, where I discovered geohashing while browsing through the XKCD blog. After some periodic expeditions, I ended up moving down to Springfield, Illinois. Living in a new area, I find geohashing to be the perfect way to explore my new home. I don't own a car anymore, but I never liked burning gas just to go to a point and go home again, so it's not really that different. It also gives me a great opportunity to build towards my fitness goals when I bike to hash points. So far, the two longest rides I've ever done were in pursuit of geohashes, and I see more and longer ones in my future.
