You probably can find me hanging around in Geohashing IRC channel as vyo2003, but UTC+3 timezone may make it tricky for some.

I'm also working on Geohashing Wiki Helper, a desktop application that aims to make using geohahsing wiki less painful (currently supports uploading pictures and exporting resulting gallery).

Why do I geohash?

Because I need an excuse and exact coordinates to go to craziest places around me. As a great side effect, this also allows to learn a lot about my neighborhood and its composition (and since naming of villages isn't especially creative - also learn about places totally unrelated to me), both while planning and travelling.

V1993 earned the No, The Other One Consolation Prize by failing to reach the hash because of arriving into the wrong village Pochinki, 10km away from intended one (54, 37) geohash on 2021-09-29.

V1993 (talk) earned the Last hash standing achievement by being the the only hasher world-wide to go on a geohashing expedition on 2021-01-13.
