The Nürnberg (Nuremberg) graticule is at latitude 49, longitude 11. It covers parts of the Regierungsbezirke of Oberfranken (Upper Franconia), Mittelfranken (Middle Franconia) and Oberpfalz (Upper Palatinate) and contains most of the city of Nürnberg at its western edge and extends nearly to Regensburg in the south-east and up to Bayreuth at the north.

Local Geohashers

  • Tomcat in the utmost south-eastern corner, near Regensburg
  • peph.halmen on the western end of this graticule, will attend hashs around Erlangen

  • Dawidi will go to hashpoints near the south-eastern corner that are reachable by bike from Regensburg.

Hashpoints

  • 2009-02-05 49 11 under a tree near Schönhofen. Tomcat and dawidi walked there from Eilsbrunn in the later evening.
  • 2009-01-28 49 11 on an access road between two shiny new business buildings in Amberg. dawidi went there by train (and bike) in the evening.
  • 2008-09-29 49 11 in a field east of Eilsbrunn, very close to the south-eastern corner of the graticule. dawidi and Tomcat were there.
  • 2008-06-15 49 11 in a field west of Amberg, near Siebeneichen, only dawidi was there (but didn't make it to the exact spot).
