Information

These lists are slowly being built manually by going through the expedition archives such as this one. Two things I am looking for in particular are a linked user in the "Participants" section and a "Coordinates Reached/Not Reached" category tag. On some occasions I have been able to determine the user accounts involved through edit history, but for the most part, if expeditions don't include either of the above, they probably wont be counted. I imagine that one day someone smarter than me will arrange to have this work carried out by a bot of some kind.

Problems encountered that a bot might not handle well:

-On at least one occasion (that I can't seem to find now) there was an expedition page I came across with both the "Coordinates Reached" and "Coordinates Not Reached" categories. This was because multiple geohashers attempted to reach it, and some succeeded and others didn't. Not sure a bot could figure out who to classify as having reached it or not in that situation.

-Some users don't link themselves in the "Participants" section. I know that Danatar, for example, will link himself at the start of his expedition report and delete the "Participants" section, while others simply type their name in without a link. For the most part I have been ignoring the latter, because non-wiki users that go along tend to be listed under generic first names, which causes problems when you come across the third or fourth different "Steve".

I am the one that creates the "Most Active Graticule" Page. There are many unknowns about trying to create this page. I create an interactive Google map for everyone and host that interactive map on my own server. Most of the time there are many people that geohash one location that are never listed on the page. Most of the time they will list themselves on their own user page.

I create the Google map from user pages. I have found that to be the easiest way but it is also inaccurate if a user isn't updating their page. There are special conditions where users keep multiple pages for their expeditions and each person does it differently. I know, I've already written the code.
