At 2015-03-10 49 8 you can see, how GeorgDerReisende performs it.
You can get the opening price for the Dow Jones Industrial Average from http://www.google.com/finance/historical?q=indexdjx:.dji. But in Europe use the price of the previous day (according to the "east of -30° rule")!
