Graticule Naming

Haha...it seems that we think along the same lines. I've already named every NSW graticule, but not yet mapped them. The important thing is to check the maps on existing graticules and see if people have named any of the 8 bordering graticules, as we could run into name conflicts if we select something different. Then again sometimes people choose strange names, and maybe we should just change them on there as well. Don't worry about the typo, you had just misspelt New South Wales on one of the pages thus creating no category for that graticule. It's 2.30am and yet somehow I'm picking up tiny errors - time for bed I think... --CJ 15:36, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

What's wrong with strange names? --Sean of The Relentless Haberdashers

Nothing at all, I'm a huge fan of silly names. Just the idea of a tailor relentlessly chasing me is kinda scary. I'm an easily scared kinda guy. -- UnwiseOwl 00:47, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

vanilla ice

You edit worked, I guess you just forgot to refresh the cache. I don't mind vanilla ice. -- Relet 08:17, 10 October 2008 (UTC)

Hi

Thanks for fixing up my dodgy links. I'm really not particually good at this sort of stuff! I do feel a bit bad making work for you (and CJ's fixed few for me too!)

I'm actually from SA! I grew up in Penola in -37 140, went to Uni in Adelide, then moved to Sydney.

Hopefully I'll be going hashing tomorrow in Adelaide- perhaps the one near Murry Bridge. Are you going?

Hi, it would have been great to meet up- I was there at 4pm! Wasn't it a fantastic place? One day I plan to walk the length of the Heysen trail, so I'll be there again one day. Actually, it would be nice to be back at a time when I wouldn't need to be so paranoid about snakes too! I'm glad you went to the log book too- otherwise it could have been like Burke and Wills! Alas, I'm back in Sydney again, just popped back to SA to see Mum and Dad! Kate 07:19, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

Notes

You need better internets :P Anyway, will update you tomorrow. --joannac 07:07, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, was cleaning the bathroom. Talk to you later --joannac 02:43, 19 October 2008 (UTC)

You too hon. Have a great Laura night, see you tomorrow. --joannac 05:28, 17 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I'm capped and my connection is playing up. Send me code and I'll look in the morning. --joannac 12:43, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, hon. Broken again. See you in the morning? --joannac 13:01, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I didn't even notice that you had created a joint map for all Australian geohashes... I had something like that in mind for a world map (but on a smaller scale, i.e. only a few pixels per grat). Incites me to work on that again... if only I had more time. See you around! Hessophanes 02:41, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, I'd bet you could do it better than I did. I've just done it up manually for now, but if you can find a way to automate it that'd be really really cool. I look forward to seeing it, Regards, Ted. UnwiseOwl 03:55, 15 December 2008 (UTC)

First Emo Geohash

Thanks for the welcome message :) But I swear, I shall get the the first Emo Geohash, just you wait and see! No cheating now ;) -- Aurum

No Problem

Hey! Thanks for the encouragement...have fun on vacation and we'll look forward to hearing from you in a month. :-) NCBears

Oops

Sorry about that, UnwiseOwl! I'm not sure what happened. I remember going to edit the page and Thomcat's name being the last one and adding myself right below him. But clearly the wiki says otherwise. My apologies! --excellentdude 04:17, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

No worries. -- UnwiseOwl 04:21, 20 February 2009 (UTC)

Mindsweeper

I have finally worked out how it works. Very keen on getting some inland ones now! Wouldn't it be cool if we got them all!

Am very excited about reading your report sometime...(!) --Kate 13:20, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Hey - not sure if you're still updating your map on your user page, but Sutherland (south of Syd grat) and Forster (NE of Syd grat) have both been successfully hashed by yours truly...--CJ 04:02, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

I haven't for quite a while, as I believe it has been superseded by dawidi's wonderful Maps and Statistics, but thanks, if I do update it, I'll make sure you're included. Also, great work :D. -- UnwiseOwl 04:05, 26 February 2009 (UTC)
